From design to reality

The process for commissioning a piece of furniture can be a big decision for many people and there for I try to make it as smooth the easy as can be. It starts often with a phone call or visit from the client with an inquiry for something to be made. Often after a short conversation a site, or home visit would be suggested. This would be to measure up the room where the furniture is intended for, and to check out any difficulty's like electric box's etc. Also during this visit timber chooses are talked about and provisionally chosen.

I will then make up some drawings and a full quote, and send these to the client. On receiving these any small changes can easily be made, and a deposit of 50% of the total cost is required to secure the order.

The timber and any other materials will be ordered and work will commence. During the construction I am very happy for the client to visit the workshop and witness the furniture in different stages of completion.

Once finished delivery or fitting is arranged and carried out. The final payment would be due at this time.

I have had many happy customers, and below are some of their comments.

"The cabinet is perfect, very well made. Thank you."

"Thank you for our wonderful kitchen. Your design, making and fitting are excellent, and we have had many admirers."
